As an EL1 legal adviser you will be required to provide high quality legal advice and resolution strategies across a variety of work involving Workplace Health and Safety. You will report directly to the principle lawyer.

To succeed in this role, you will actively develop working relationships across the organisation, with clients and other stakeholders that are effective and collaborative. You will have a strong commitment to achieving the best possible outcome for the agency. Experience in the Health and Safety sector will be highly regarded but is not essential.

However, 3 years post admission and experience in advice writing is essential for the successful applicants.

You will be engaged as a non-ongoing contractor for 6 months, initially and remuneration is commensurate with experience. Admission as a legal practitioner of the High Court or the Supreme Court of an Australian State or Territory; and possession of a current Practising Certificate or the ability to obtain one, is essential.
